Sháním jakoukoliv USB kartu, která pošle ven zvuk v nezměněné digitální podobě. Jde mi pouze o napojení notebooku na AV receiver, takže kvalita DAC je nepodstatná.
Kdysi se mi domam válel USB SoundBlaster Live!, ale zcela nesmyslně jsem půjčil a už se mi nevrátil. Takže něco takového.

Jestli se vám na něco podobného doma práší, tak vám od toho pomůžu.

Is there any difference between the quality of S/PDIF connections on low-end and high-end soundcards, or am I right in thinking that a low-end card with S/PDIF I/O (and the ability to clock from the A-D converter) should be adequate?

SOS Technical Editor Hugh Robjohns replies: In theory, S/PDIF is quality independent, assuming that the physical interface is engineered reasonably in the first place. It is purely about transferring the data — there's no jitter to worry about — so, provided you have decent 75Ω cables of modest length, it should just work. I've had very few problems with S/PDIF interfaces, and the few issues I did find were actually caused by ground loops.

Personally, I prefer AES3 interfaces, because they will cope with longer cables and are always ground-free, transformer-coupled connections (often S/PDIF is as well, but not always). And XLRs are so much more reliable than RCA phono plugs!

no to je otazne , co ten av receiver robi .. ci si data reclockuje , alebo sa zavesi na hodiny z toho vstupu .. hifisti toto dost riesia ..

S HTPC na onboard S/PDIF funguje naprosto bez problémů.

Nejde mi o Hi HiFi. Notebook HP má onboard od BeatsAudio, což je neskutečné kurvítko. Když není zapúnuté "listening experience" tak to hraje jak z voskovýho válečku. Zdá se mi, že HP integrovalo funkci, že když vypneš "BeatsAudio" tak to naschvál dorurví zvuk. No a když ho zapneš, tak tam je tolik nastavení na kurvení zvuku, že toho už mám dost. Chápal bych BASS a TREBLE + EQ, ale na co je táho VOICE, CENTER, CLARITY atp ... všechno jenom kazí zvuk.
Takže jakákoliv USB s S/PDIF mi problém vyřeší. Jenom ještě nevím, jestli budu moct použít 8m dlouhé USB. Protože bych zvukovku nechal u AV receiveru a od NTB bych táhnul USB kabel místo 8m optiky :)

aha .. tak jasne .. potom je to uplne jedno , co kupis .. 8m dlhy kabel neni problem .. len kup daky hrubsi .. nie tie tanke tenucke ..

ja som použival spdif integrovany na Asus doske do AVr yamahy, bolo to zvukovo vyborne
..len tá doska odišla už

Pasivní Usb kabel funguje do 9m další 3m už to nepobere.

Zvuk:
Paráda. Z notebooku naprosto bez korekcí a zní to jak jenom MP3 a FLAC dovolí. Integrála od BeatsAudio, jak už jsem psal, bez korekcí hrůza.
