Nj, ale jak potom k tomu cislu dospejou? Ze by palce u repraku mely nejakou specialni referencni hodnotu a milimetry byly jen tak pro legraci?
Jinak na GS k filosofii tech novejch repraku, vcetne toho, proc tam neni ART midrange neco rika Klaus Heinz (majitel firmy). Docela stoji za precteni (proto sem davam citace).

Seems smaller models get better bass, bigger models get better highs hard to say anything before listening, but the sx3 does look interesting. No x-art midrange?
let me - ADAM designer Klaus Heinz - make some comments to the questions I read.
One of the most popular: why did the ART midrange disappear? Answer: I wanted to have the S3 and S4 models symmetrical, so that they can be used in 5.1 set ups without compromise. Therefore I had to introduce a cone midrange in both cases, that could start above 300 Hz (280 in the S4´s, 350 in the S3´s) to have the woofers working in the same frequency band without causing audible onterferences (these depend on the wavelenghts involved). So there are no more A or B soeakers.
Furthermore I hoped to improve the mids in the S3, and to have less dostirtions from the new X tweeter as it starts at 2800 Hz now.
The by far most important truth for all these discussions from my point of view: the proof is in the listening. Please give it a try, they deserve it.
After 4 days at the Frankfurt show I feel entitled to say: the comments where as clear as they could be that the SX models are a big step forward, including Michael Wagner saying: "The S3A sound broken" - certainly not the case, but of course I was glad to have a positive comment from this so proven S3A user.
Let me add that we built the S Series - S2A, S3A and S4A - for 10 years, so it was time to change.
I saw too many different requiements in the studios to offer just a horizontal or just a vertical s3X,. They have the same mid/high section including the same filters, so hey can be properly mixed for 5.1 . The S3X-V is a little less in price than the S3A, the S3X-H is appr. 18% more expensivethatn the S3A, due to double the power, a second wofer and an extra amp channel.
Well 50 kHz was not a #1 design goal, it happened when I opened the slots in the frondue to the availability of large nedyme magnets, I have one big block in the back now instead of 8 small ones that had to be in front of the diaphragm. I claim they sound even more open than the S3A tweeters, but I would not claim that this is because of the 50 kHz bandwith.
The new models are less of a nearfield as their driver area is bigger, so they need a little bit more distance, 1,8 m I did say at least.
We stopped making passive moniors (besides ANF10) many years ago, no interest we found. I have the same sound ideal fr all ADAM speakers, be they actice or passive or Pro or HiFi.
No immediate plans for other models at the moment, we are busy to introduce 6 new models right now…
